Instagram for Real Estate leads is a powerful way to grow your database, your business and your sales!
You may have previously focused much of your Real Estate Social Media time on Facebook, but don’t discount the huge opportunity right in front of you with Instagram for Real Estate Leads.
Instagram is 99% mobile, and we know that 90%+ of home searches begin online.
2017 Home Search Statistics from NAR indicate that -First Time Home Buyers were 34% of the market, and the median age of those buyers was 32.
This demographic is spending a lot of time online, and on Instagram, making it perfect for generating Real Estate leads.
And, 51% of all home buyers found their home online. (We did!!!)
With that in mind, you can probably imagine that it’s not that difficult for Real Estate Agents to build a brand and a following, as more and more people search out homes online and specifically on Instagram.

Setting Up an Instagram Account for Your Real Estate Business
To create an Instagram account from the app:
- Download the Instagram app for iOS from the App Store, Android from Google Play Store or Windows Phone from the Windows Phone Store.
- Once the app is installed, tap to open it.
- Tap Sign Up With Email or Phone Number, then enter your email address or phone number (which will require a confirmation code) and tap Next. You can also tap Log in with Facebook to sign up with your Facebook account.
- If you register with your email or phone number, create a username and password, fill out your profile info and then tap Done. If you register with Facebook, you’ll be prompted to log into your Facebook account if you’re currently logged out.
To create an Instagram account from a computer:
- Go to instagram.com.
- Enter your email address, create a username and password or click Log in with Facebook to sign up with your Facebook account.
- If you register with an email, click Sign up. If you register with Facebook, you’ll be prompted to log into your Facebook account if you’re currently logged out.
Simple as that!

New clients who discover your Instagram profile through your Hashtag Strategy. These might be local or those out for the area. Include location in your hashtag strategy.
