When you are getting ready to share your opportunity with someone, remember a few simple concepts to stay empowered and moving forward.
First, remember, you are not asking for a favor, you are sharing a powerful opportunity; something that can be life changing if someone will step up and embrace it.
Also, detach from the outcome. You can only control your own actions; not that of another. Talk to any top income earner in any company and he/she will tell you that some of the best business builders said no the first time around. Have a follow up system and keep in touch. Don’t bug or harass, just stay connected and keep your name out there.
And, know that practice makes perfect. You will improve your sign up ratio and your bottom line by staying in the game and practice, drill, rehearse.
Have a simple way to share your business. Don’t drag people to long, boring meetings or webinars. Get them exposed to the business through something quick and engaging that makes impact. You can spend more time on the second look but make the first one short, painless and intriguing enough to want more!
Don’t be locked into one way of sharing the business. Ask your prospect what the best way is to get information – webinar online; website; live conference call; opportunity meeting; DVD; printed material, etc.
ALWAYS be a professional and follow up. 80% of sales are made on the 5th to 12th exposure. How might your business grow if you follow this principle?
