Your Job is Not to Convince Anyone

Are you trying to convince people to join your Online Greeting Card business; or any business for that matter?

Are you making the mistake of trying to convince people that this amazing tool is something they must have?

This is a mistake that many of us make. We so “get” how powerful it is on every level to keep in touch and connected to those we care about; those we meet; and those who we appreciate through our tool sending out cards and gifts, right?

So, we “overdo it” with others in our excitement.

Here is the thing – you really can’t convince another person who’s not ready to see or be convinced.

Your job is to share the tool; teach people how to go to your site; experience the 15,000 cards and amazing gift selection and actually send out a card to someone.

Once they have done this, they either get it or they don’t. Over time, some who didn’t get it at first will, and they will come back to you if you keep in touch with them.

Some will never get it, and that’s okay!

If you focus on your own daily activity of sending out a heartfelt card, and sharing the powerful tool of sending out cards and gifts with others, you will build a highly successful business.

And, some of those people who didn’t “get it” will say you were lucky. That just proves one thing – they still don’t get it!

Key Secret to Success in Your Online Greeting Card and Gift Business


Do you want to be successful in a business sending out fun cards and gifts? You may have heard it before, but chances are, you aren’t following through with this important, key piece to success in your Greeting Card Business – FOLLOW UP!

I want to share some important statistics with you that might just blow your mind. At very least, it may explain to you why you aren’t having the success YOU want in your business. Because remember, your income depends on your ability to create lasting relationships with your prospects, clients and customers.

Sales Statistics –

48% of sales people never follow up with the prospect
25% of sales people make a second contact and then stop

Only 2% of sales are made on the first contact
3% are made on the second contact
10% of sales are made on the fourth contact
80% of sales are made somewhere between the 5th and 12th contact

Now, looking at these statistics, what does that tell YOU about your own follow up? Most of us in Network Marketing never make that first follow up, and much less the 5th or 12th.

Imagine how many more people you would sponsor if you would stop assuming that the first “no” means no forever. When someone says no, ask if it would be okay for you to keep in touch in case their situation changes. Most people will say yes because they don’t want to tell you no twice. You don’t need to bug or harass them; just keep in touch. Direct Mail marketing is how I have done this for years. And our card business allows you to that easily, in an affordable way, and in a way that keeps you and your business in the mind of your prospect, without being intrusive!

Many of those people have a story like mine that proves that timing is everything. I could not have been less interested in a Network Marketing business when I was first approached. 15 months later, and a new baby, I practically begged my sponsor to sign me up so I could stay home.

You just never know. Keep your pipeline full; be adding 2 people a day, 5 days a week and keep in touch! It’s appreciation marketing at its finest.

You’ve started your Network Marketing business and you are ready to be making that gangster income already, right? So where is it?

This is where understanding the Success Principle of Time is so important. Despite what some may have told you about “how fast you can go” in Network Marketing, most people get off to a slower pace in the beginning. Understanding and allowing for time in your business will go a long way to keeping you in the business and taking action.

Let’s take a look at how your business start and first month may have gone.

How many people did you talk to about your business your first day?

Second day?

How about your first week?

First month?

Your Network Marketing business will grow based on your actions first and foremost, which is what lays the foundation. Now, as you sponsor people in, you need to allow the same type of time for each of them to lay their business foundation. And, so on.

Maybe you started quickly and if so, that is great! You are setting a great example and will inspire others to follow along. And, some will, some won’t. You can I cannot change that.

Understand the concept of “compounding” as your business grows, as well. In network marketing, 1 plus 1 does not always equal 2. It can be 4, 8, 12 or many, many more! This is a great thing!

Give your network marketing business time to grow and prosper! Give yourself time to grow into your business; and give your team that time as well!
