How To Invite People To Look At Your Business

By Jackie Ulmer 2 Comments

Do you get bogged down with what to say when inviting people to look at your business?

Here are some tips shared by our Greeting Card Business Top Producers. If it works for them, it will for you, too!

First, with this first tip, your goal is just to get them to experience our cool tool for Sending Out Cards and Gifts. Nothing else. Take it one step at a time.

There is a really cool thing I want to show you. When can you be in front of your computer and on the phone with me for a few minutes?”

Then, book the time and just have them log in and let the system and the video tutorial show them our simple card sending system.

This next tip is for introducing the concept of the Card system and potentially the business at once:

Do you buy Greeting Cards and gifts?
Do you know anyone who buys Greeting Cards and Gifts?
How would you like to get paid a percentage of all the cards and gifts that you or anyone else you know buys?

Your next step is still to get them on their computer and into sending out a card or two.

Finally, for the more entrepreneurial minded, here are some things to open the conversation with:

Do you consider yourself an entrepreneur? Do you keep your eyes open for multiple streams of income? Do you know anyone who is entrepreneurial? Do you know anyone who keeps their eyes open for multiple streams of income?

If they say yes to any of the above, your response is – I have something big you want to know about!”

Again, get them in front of the computer and sending out a card.

How simple is that? We have a 3 step system that will do the rest for you. You just need to open the conversation!

Create A Beach Money Lifestyle

Have you ever wondered if it’s possible for the average person to create an above average income with Network Marketing? Do the stories you hear sometimes seem too good to be true?

Have you struggled and failed in Network Marketing? Have you all but given up on your dream lifestyle because it seems too difficult or too far out of reach?

If any of this describes you, then listen in as I interview someone who truly went through over 10 years and 11 companies before he made it work. And, I know his story is true because I sort of lived it with him. We were good friends and co-workers during that time!

Jordan Adler, seven figure annual income earner and top money earner in our Greeting Card company will share his story of “Beach Money Success”; how he did it and how you can too!

Jordan was my first sponsor in Network Marketing, and last June, I teamed back up with him again to build an International Empire in this Greeting Card company. Please join us on the call and see if there is a fit for you! You don’t just walk away from a nice five figure monthly income without a good reason! Learn why I did.

Creating Leaders in Your Greeting Card Business

How Do I Create More Leaders in My Greeting Card Business?

You may be wondering how this is going to work when you start a Network Marketing business with our Greeting Card and Gift company. This is a question that most everyone asks at some point in their network marketing business journey. And, it’s really a pretty simple answer that doesn’t require a whole lot from you, beyond the basic business principles.

If you haven’t read Seth Godin’s book – Tribes – it is a must read. Although it’s not written about Network Marketing, it could have been! As a leader, you are looking for your tribe, and your tribe is looking for you! Read it and you’ll better understand your role as a leader in your Network Marketing business!

First of all, no one really decides to become a leader because of something you do, or do not do. In fact, you have much less to do with the business of those who you sponsor than you think you do. Consider this – if you have decided to become a leader, is it because your sponsor is one? Is it because he/she encouraged you to be? Or is it more like you want more for yourself and you realize that the only way to have that is to step up and be a leader?

I’m guessing it is the latter – you want more, and you know that it is going to involve leadership on your part to get there.

So, here are those steps you can take consistently to make sure you are being a leader as you begin your business sending out cards, gifts and sharing this with others! From there, you watch for others in your organization who exhibit the same characteristics:

  • Leaders take action – this means they are consistently talking to others about their business and products/services. This is first and foremost a business about opening your mouth to others! How many cards will you send out each day? Each week?

  • Leaders are building a team (see above for how to get this started!)

  • Leaders show up at events – this could be webinars; team calls; regional events and certainly, the company convention! (non-negotiable!)

  • Leaders are dreamers – what are you dreaming about right now that your greeting card business will create? This is a step many skip and it is a dangerous one to skip!

  • Leaders have a self development program in place at all times – they are never too busy to be improving themselves by reading, listening and attending!

  • Leaders become successful first, and then lead the way for others (see #1 for the starting point!)

  • Leaders are available to those on the team who want training, support and coaching.

From here, it becomes very simple. Make sure you are taking all of the action steps above. Make sure you are sending out cards each day to prospects, and from an appreciation perspective. Do not skip any of these steps.

Find those people who come into your organization, whether you sponsored them or not, who are taking action, sending out cards also, building the team and showing up at events. Reach out and make contact. Stay connected. Offer your support and training if they want it. Don’t push anyone who doesn’t want your leadership. They may not be your tribe, and that’s okay!

Your success is your own responsibility. Not your sponsor, not your upline. I’ve built successful businesses with a highly active sponsor and with an inactive sponsor. I’ve never let that stand in the way of my own success. You don’t want to fall into that trap either.

After all is said and done, leadership is about modeling the behavior you want others to duplicate. If you want your team sponsoring, you need to be sponsoring. If you want your team showing up at events, you need to be showing up at events.

The first person you lead will always be yourself!

7 Transformation Tips For Success in Your Business

By Jackie Ulmer Leave a Comment

Are You Looking For the Shortcut to Success

Recently, my sponsor shared some powerful insights on a team call and I thought that they are important for everyone to know and understand, when you are evaluating a business, or actually building one! Here they are:

Everyone wants a shortcut. AND the good news is there are shortcuts. The bad news is they are not what most people think. A shortcut is not a mass marketing system that will sign up lots and lots of people for you. A shortcut is not an automatic sponsoring system that will eliminate the need to talk to people. What most people see as the long road is actually the short road.

A 15 minute conversation is way more valuable than blasting an e-mail out to 150 people that you don’t know.  Three 15 minute conversations per day with people in your network helps to create the valuable relationships that can take your business to the next level.

1. TRANSFORMATION TIP: Keep a list of people to call every day just to ‘Check In’ – Call at least 3 people a day just to say ‘Hi’ and see how they are doing. (NOTE from Jackie: I have used technology as a powerful tool the last 11+ years, and my success has come from using the internet to generate the lead, and then immediately transitioning to a phone all or face to face meeting! No one wants to do business with a robot!)

2. TRANSFORMATION TIP: Spend 90% of your time connecting with people on a personal level face to face or over the phone and 10% of your time connecting with people using technology. (NOTE from Jackie: These are often called elevator calls, designed to “lift someone up! Try it!)

3. TRANSFORMATION TIP: Limit your time on Facebook to 15 minutes per day (I know that is hard for some, but it’s a must if you want to build a successful business). My only exception to this rule is if you want to ‘schedule’ 2 hours a week just to casually ‘chat’ with others that are online to see if you can advance your relationships. It’s live and real time which is a different experience than ‘posting’. Your goal is to eventually take it offline so that you can have real human contact. (NOTE from Jackie: I how to use technology tools effectively in 30 minutes to an hour a day! It’s part of your free training as a member of the team!)

4. TRANSFORMATION TIP: Limit your TV time (or eliminate it all together). Replace it with reading and listening to positive CD’s.  You won’t miss anything. You’ll hear the important stuff from your friends. TV kills brain cells and books and CD’s strengthens them. (NOTE from Jackie: I did this in 1997, 3 years into my business. My income started growing and never stopped. I never went back and I am happier today!)

5. TRANSFORMATION TIP: Seek out to MEET people that do business with people that would do business with us. When they see our online greeting card system they get excited because the know so many people that could benefit from our program. Think about who does business with people that would do business with us? (NOTE from Jackie: In these challenging economic times, businesses are scrambling to find ways to retain customers and create referrals. We have the key! Share it and see what happens. We have a great script that is working; it’s yours as part of your team training once you are signed up!)

6. TRANSFORMATION TIP: Send way more cards out that appreciate others and less cards to market yourself. Go to your mailbox and pick up your mail. What do you keep and what do you throw away?  What do you forget and what do you remember? (NOTE from Jackie: I have almost ever card I received from this company over the last 6 years!)

7. TRANSFORMATION TIP: Have fun with the business. Make your cards, colorful, social, active, vibrant and FUN. Make your meetings light and easy. Be someone that others want to be around.’ (NOTE from Jackie: People want to be where the fire, energy and excitement is. Create a fire with your excitement!)

Are you ready to be transformed and transform others?
